Delhi Capitals' bowler Ishant Sharma uprooted Punjab Kings' batsman, Liam Livingstone's off-stump.

David Warner, captain of Delhi Capitals opted to field first after winning the toss against the Punjab Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The Capitals are currently almost out of the tournament, so their focus is likely on playing spoiler to the other teams. The Punjab Kings, led by Shikhar Dhawan, have had a mixed season so far and need a win against the Capitals to keep their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs alive.

Ishant Sharma strikes twice to rattle Punjab Kings

In the second over of the match, Ishant Sharma took the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan. Later, in the fifth over, Ishant dismissed Liam Livingstone with a length delivery that angled into the middle and off, resulting in the batsman losing his off stump. Ishant celebrated his wicket by blowing a flying kiss towards the departing batsman.
