Watch: Jonny Bairstow carries "Just Stop Oil" protester off-field at Lords'

Just Stop Oil protesters have interrupted multiple sporting events in the last one year in the UK.

The 2nd Ashes test has begun at The Lord’s in overcast conditions with a few interruptions in the middle. First, due to a protest and then a rain break. Two climate change protesters invaded the ground carrying orange powder after the first over. As England’s pacer Stuart Broad was getting ready to bowl his first over, two Just Stop Oil protesters invaded the ground and spilled that on the ground before getting tackled. One protester was tackled by the English captain Ben Stokes and David Warner before security personnel took him out of the playing area. While the other was stopped by English Wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow. Bairstow carried the protester out of the ground from his position.

The video of English wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow carrying the second protesters out of the ground got applause from the crowd and a few hilarious reactions on social media. Another Just Stop Oil protestor has been arrested, and a total of three protestors have been arrested from the Lord’s. Just Stop Oil is an environmental activist group who have created interruptions in multiple sporting events in the United Kingdom. Last year in July, a group of the Just Stop Oil protesters walked out on the track after the race was suspended due to a crash. Just a month ago, England’s team bus was halted before entering The Lord’s for a test against Ireland.

Australia have got off to a cautious start at The Lord’s. Opener Usman Khawaja and David Warner haven’t given the English bowling line-up any opportunity in the first hour of the play. England are playing with 4 pacers and dropped Moeen Ali from the second test. Australia also made a change in their playing XI as Mitchell Starc came in for Scott Boland. England won the toss and invited Australia to bat first.
