The 50-year-old Sachin Tendulkar was spotted playing street cricket in Jammu and Kashmir with local fans.

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is enjoying his trip of Jammu and Kashmir with family, was spotted playing gully (street) cricket with the residents in the beautiful town of Gulmarg, Kashmir.

The former Indian batter also visited the Aman Setu Bridge, which marks the end of the Line of Control (LOC) in the Uri area of Jammu and Kashmir. Sachin Tendulkar also spoke with Indian soldiers at the Kaman Post, which is next to the Aman Setu Bridge, during his hour-long visit.

The Indian cricket legend also shared a glimpse of him playing gully cricket during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Sachin Tendulkar took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to share a short clip of him playing cricket with the locals, and captioned it: “Cricket & Kashmir: A MATCH in HEAVEN!”

In the viral video, it can be seen that the 50-year-old Tendulkar was travelling with his family, but the cricket maestro stopped his car to hit some shots in between the snowy mountains of Kashmir. After a short cricket session, Tendulkar was also seen taking some selfies with local fans.

Here is the viral video:

Sachin Tendulkar visits Kashmir Willow bat factory

The Kashmir region is home to a particular variety of willow trees called Kashmir willow, which is highly regarded for its quality. On February 21, Wednesday, the great Indian batter visited the Kashmir Willow facility, which makes bats. However, after visiting the bat factory, Tendulkar also recalled when he received his first bat, a Kashmir willow, from his sister.

The 50-year-old Tendulkar also shared a video where he was spotted at the MJ Bat Factory in Gulmarg, where the owners gave him a tour and allowed him to test out some blades.

“The first bat given to me was by my sister and it was a Kashmir willow bat. Ab main yahan hoon to Kashmir willow ko to milna banta hai! P.S: An interesting fact; some of my favourite bats had only about 5-6 grains. How many grains do your bats have?” Tendulkar wrote on X.

Here is the clip:

The owner of MJ Sports, Mohammad Shaheen Parray, said that they were not expecting Tendulkar to pay them a visit. The owner also added that the Indian cricket legend will also help them to promote the Kashmir Willow bats.

“We were busy making bats when a vehicle stopped at our gate. We were pleasantly surprised to find the Little Master and his family. He stroked a few bats and was quite pleased with the quality. Tendulkar said he had come to compare the Kashmir willow bats with those made of English willow. We requested him to lend his voice in support of the local bats,” Parray was quoted as saying by India Today.
