West Indies name 18-men squad for 10 day camp ahead of Test series against India

West Indies will play 2-match test series against India in the next month.
The West Indies Cricket Board announced an 18-member squad to prepare for the upcoming two-test series against India in July. India will be travelling to the Caribbean islands for a month-long tour where they are scheduled to take on West Indies in 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20Is. Opening batter Kraigg Brathwaite will lead the West Indian squad for the Test series and for the preparation camp that begins at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua. West Indian team camp will begin on 30th June. The team will be travelling to Dominica on the 9th of July. The first test between the two will be played at Windsor Park in Dominica from 12th July.
Windies taking part in WC Qualifier
Most of the West Indian red-ball players will be taking part in the Camp in Antigua. Shannon Gabriel, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Rahkeem Cornwall, Jermaine Blackwood, Nkrumah Boner, and Kemar Roach will be part of the West Indian camp. Most of the key members of the Windies squad like Jason Holder, Alzari Joseph, Shai, Hope, Roston Chase, Akeal Hosaein, Kyle Mayers, and others are busy playing in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers. Windies have grim chances of qualifying for the main round as they have got two shocking defeats against Zimbabwe and another against the Netherlands.
The tournament will end on 9th July with two teams making their place into the main round. West Indies will need to win all of their remaining matches and also bank on the other team’s result to qualify for the main round. India have already announced their 16-member squad for the Test and ODI series in the tour. India have dropped Cheteshwar Pujara and rested Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav from the Caribbean tour in July-August. BCCI will soon pick the squad for the 5-match T20I series.
