West Indies will host England for a five-match T20I series.

Following their 2-1 ODI series win, West Indies will be hosting England in a five-match T20I series. The hosts clinched the ODI series by winning the first game in Antigua followed by the decider in Barbados.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) have revealed a strong 15-man squad for the first two T20I matches, scheduled to take place on November 9 and 10 at Kennington Oval, Barbados. The last three T20Is will be played in  St Lucia, for which the CWI will announce the squad later.

Hetmyer rejoined the West Indies squad for the ODI series against England, while Hosein, along with Russell and Pooran, have returned to the team for the T20Is. Pooran had missed the T20I series in Sri Lanka but now returns to international cricket.

Fast bowler Matthew Forde has also been selected for the first two T20I matches as Alzarri Joseph faces a two-match suspension due to an on-field disciplinary issue during the third ODI against England.

West Indies squad for first two T20Is against England:

Rovman Powell (c), Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Shimron Hetmyer, Terrance Hinds, Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd.

Head Coach Daren Sammy has expressed optimism about the T20I series against England. Sammy acknowledged that with so many experienced players, selecting the final eleven will be challenging, but he’s confident in the team’s ability to perform and maintain their winning momentum.

Sammy said, “The T20 team is our most settled team with lots of experienced players. However, the difficulty will be picking the eleven, as every single player is challenging for a spot in the eleven. As we face a very good England team, I am confident that the selected squad will continue to play a brand of cricket that allows us to win games and this Rivalry series.
