India and West Indies are facing each other in a multi-format series that started with two test matches. The visitors won the test series 1-0, while the ongoing three-match ODI series is leveled at 1-1, with the third and final ODI to be played on Tuesday in Trinidad, which will be a series decider. After this, the five-match T20I series will kick off on August 3.
India had already announced their T20I squad, while the hosts named their squad on Monday. The West Indies Cricket Board has named a 15-member squad for the upcoming five-match series. ODI captain Shai Hope made a comeback in the shorter format, along with pacer Oshane Thomas. The pacer played his last T20I game in December 2021, while Hope played against India in February 2022.
