Two more games will be played on the same day- Pakistan and Netherlands will clash in Colombo, while West Indies and Scotland will square off at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

T20 World Cup 2026 opening ceremony to take place on February 7 in Mumbai

As per journalist Gaurav Gupta of Times of India (TOI), the ceremony will take place on February 7 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai ahead of the clash between India and the USA.
The opening ceremony often starts one or two hours ahead of the start of the match. The India vs USA clash will commence at 7 PM IST, with the toss taking place at 6:30 PM.
Since Star Sports and Jio Hotstar are the live telecast and live streaming partners for the T20 World Cup, viewers can enjoy the opening ceremony on these platforms.
Meanwhile, after the opening game against USA, India will clash with Namibia on February 12 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, followed by a match against arch-rivals Pakistan on February 15 in Colombo. Their last group stage encounter against the Netherlands will be played on February 18 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
