When will Indian Men's Cricket Team play next T20I series after T20 World Cup 2026?

The Indian men’s cricket team became the first team to retain the coveted prize.
India defeated New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 final on Sunday, March 8, to become the only team in the tournament’s history to win the coveted title three times. The Men in Blue recorded a dominant victory over the Black Caps, winning by a margin of 96 runs after they posted a total of 255 in the first innings.
India have also become the only nation to win the T20 World Cup twice in a row. Despite suffering a heartbreaking loss to South Africa in the opening game of the Super 8, the Men in Blue returned fire with five consecutive victories and eventually won the home World Cup.
As the T20 World Cup came to an end, international cricket has also come to a halt, as the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin soon. The IPL is scheduled to start on March 28, and the tournament final will be played on May 31.
When will the Indian men’s cricket team return to international action?

After a huge gap of almost three months, India will return to international action in June. The fans will get to witness the three-time T20 World Cup champions in action against Afghanistan in June 2026.
The series will commence with a one-off test match in Punjab on June 6, followed by three ODI matches on June 14, June 17 and June 20 in Dharamshala, Lucknow and Chennai, respectively.
When will the India play their next T20I series?
After the home series against Afghanistan, the Men in Blue will finally return to T20I action with a five-match away series against England in July. Following the five-match T20 series, the India will face the Three Lions in three ODI matches. Interestingly, the T20 world champions will play all eight games in 19 days.
