T20 World Cup 2026: Where & how to watch the tournament live

The competition begins on February 7, 2026.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2026, the 10th edition of the premier global T20 tournament, is set to captivate cricket fans worldwide. The tournament will run from February 7 to March 8, 2026.
Co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, this marks the first major ICC event in Sri Lanka since 2012 and promises a high-octane, month-long spectacle of explosive batting, clever spin, and death-over drama. With India fresh off their 2024 title win, expectations are sky-high for another thrilling chapter in T20 cricket’s flagship event.
The tournament features 20 teams competing in 55 matches across eight iconic venues, with five in India, namely the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, and Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
On the other hand, three in Sri Lanka (Sinhalese Sports Club and R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, plus Pallekele in Kandy).
The opener kicks off on February 7 at Colombo’s Sinhalese Sports Club with Pakistan vs Netherlands, while co-hosts India face the USA in Mumbai. The final is slated for March 8 at the massive Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. If Pakistan book their place in the final, then it will be shifted to Colombo.
The format mirrors recent expansions: four groups of five teams each play a round-robin stage, with the top two from each advancing to the Super 8 (two groups of four). The top two from those Super 8 groups then enter the semifinals, followed by the final.
Automatic qualifiers include hosts India and Sri Lanka, along with powerhouses Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies, Afghanistan, Bangladesh (Replaced by Scotland), and the USA (from 2024 Super 8 performers), with others qualifying through regional pathways. Italy makes its debut appearance this time.
