16 warm-up matches will take place ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.

Preparations for the T20 World Cup 2026 have already begun, with warm-up matches being played between different teams participating in the tournament. 16 warm-up matches are scheduled to take place from February 2 to 6, before the marquee campaign commences on February 7.

Four cities have been finalised to host warm-up matches of the T20 World Cup 2026. While Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai will witness the games in India, Colombo will host the encounters in Sri Lanka.

BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground, DY Patil Stadium, MA Chidambaram Stadium, SSC Cricket Ground, R. Premadasa Stadium, and Colombo Cricket Club are six venues for the warm-up matches across India and Sri Lanka.

The Indian Cricket Team will play one warm-up match against South Africa on February 4, while India A will participate in two clashes against the USA and Namibia on February 2 and 6, respectively. Ayush Badoni will captain the India A team.

Selected warm-up matches to be live telecast and streamed

Notably, a few warm-up matches will also be live telecast and streamed in India and other parts of the world. India vs South Africa, Afghanistan vs Scotland, USA vs India A, Canada vs Italy, Nepal vs UAE, Afghanistan vs West Indies, Pakistan vs Ireland, Nepal vs Canada, New Zealand vs USA, Italy vs UAE, and Namibia vs India A are a few games whose live telecast and live streaming will be available for viewers.

Star Sports Network is the official broadcasting partner for the T20 World Cup 2026 in India. On the other hand, the Jio Hotstar app will present the live streaming. These platforms will also provide coverage of the selected warm-up matches in India.
