Ashok Sharma was picked by Gujarat in IPL 2026 auction. He had a base price of INR 30 lakh and was picked for INR 90 lakh. He has made his debut in IPL 2026.
Ashok, who hails from Rampura village near Jaipur, is a right-arm uncapped pacer from Rajasthan. He decided to quite cricket in 2021 before finding success through the Red Bull Speedster talent hunt and becoming a prominent Rajasthan domestic bowler.
He was also part of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2022 edition and RR in the 2025 edition. However, he did not get a chance to make his debut.He has played four games in first-class cricket and clinched 14 wickets. He has also featured in seven List A games, picking 13 wickets. In GT’s previous game against PBKS, he picked one wicket for 31 runs.
He was also the leading wicket-taker for Rajasthan in the 2025-26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, taking 22 wickets in 10 games, including two four-wicket hauls.
