The Indian Cricket Team and the South African Cricket Team are locking horns with each other in the second match of the two-match test series. The series-decider between both teams is underway at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
India, who lost the first match, will be under massive pressure coming into the game as they lost the opening game by a margin of 30 runs. A defeat here could mark a second home series loss for them within a span of a year, having earlier lost to New Zealand by 3-0 last year.
India have made two changes to their XI – one forced and one tactical. Captain Shubman Gill has been ruled out of the match with the neck injury he sustained in the last game and was replaced by Sai Sudharsan, while Axar Patel had to make way for all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Who will bat at No.3 for India in the Guwahati test against South Africa?

But the major question remains who will bat at three for India in the Guwahati test against South Africa. In the last match, it was Washington Sundar, who was pushed up the order. But with Sai Sudharsan returning, the speculations have risen even more.
On the team sheet, Sai Sudharsan is slotted at three and is likely to take the role. But with Gautam Gambhir not being a great fan of a fixed batting order, there is no clarity, who will take the spot. However, as of now, it will be Sudharsan who will be batting at three.
Sai Sudharsan has been decent at three in recent times. He made his debut in England and slammed one fifty. In the recent tests against the West Indies, he also hit 87 but even after that he was dropped for the first IND vs SA test. He would be eager to play a big knock and seal his spot.
On the other hand, Washington Sundar was decent with the bat in the last game at three. He scored 29 and 31 across the two innings and looked the most settled Indian batter .
