Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal reveals their captain for IPL 2024

DC co-owner Parth Jindal has opened up and revealed that Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant will be their captain for IPL 2024. Parth Jindal has revealed that the wicket-keeper batter will not keep wickets for the first half of the season.

However, Delhi Capitals co-owner stated that Pant has started his wicket-keeping drills and is actively engaging in batting and running sessions.

“Rishabh is batting. He’s running. He has started his wicketkeeping. He is likely to be fully fit for the IPL. I am expecting Rishabh to play IPL and he will lead from match one. First seven games, we are going to play him only as a batter and depending on how his body reacts, we will take a call for the rest of the IPL,” Jindal said while speaking to ESPN Cricinfo.

After Rishabh Pant survived a life-threatening accident in December 2022, the Delhi-born cricketer has made positive changes before the start of IPL 2024. The wicket-keeper-batter was recently seen playing a few practice matches in Alur. He also uploaded a video of himself training at nets. Pant’s return will surely lift the Delhi Capitals’ batting line-up in the upcoming IPL 2024.
