Delhi Capitals (DC) are clashing with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in tonight’s clash of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The encounter is taking place at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Both teams have witnessed dismal form so far and have slim chances of making it to the playoffs. While DC take the seventh spot in the points table with eight points, KKR follow them in the eighth position with seven points.
KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. DC captain Axar Patel informed that they have made two changes to their playing XI. But despite that David Miller continued to be on the bench, which raised a lot of concerns about his absence.

Notably, Miller has been overlooked once again to maintain the overseas combination in the playing XI. Pathum Nissanka, Tristan Stubbs, Mitchell Starc, and Lungi Ngidi are the four overseas players that Delhi have picked for the match. Hence, Miller had to be benched once again.
Miller last played in the clash against RCB on April 27, where he scored 19 runs. He has piled up 123 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 146, including three unbeaten knocks.
Meanwhile, Delhi made two changes to their playing XI from the previous game. Pacer T Natarajan and batter Karun Nair were rested for the match. Mukesh Kumar and Vipraj Nigam were added as replacements.
At the toss, Axar Patel said, “Nothing like that for me, batting first or bowling, you know, that thought is not in our hands. So, as a team, you should be ready whether it’s batting first or bowling first. You just have to be on your toes from the very first ball, that is very important. There are two changes in my team – Mukesh Kumar is in place of Natarajan, and Vipraj Nigam is in”.
