Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are locking horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Saturday (April 18). The encounter is underway at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and opted to field first in the clash. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head came up with a brilliant start for SRH. However, other batters failed to keep up with the momentum.
At the toss, SRH captain Ishan Kishan revealed that they have made one change to the playing XI. He was quick to mention that they have benched Harsh Dubey, who will be replaced by Dilshan Madushanka. The Sri Lanka pacer was along with the Harshal Patel and Harsh Dubey were named in the impact player list.

However, neither of the trio was named as an impact player as SRH went with Liam Livingstone as they lost wickets in the middle.
SRH have opted for pacers in Praful Hinge, Sakib Hussain, and Eshan Malinga after their impressive performance in the last game.
“So, we have to keep it simple and I think we always look to do the same thing. (Changes?) Madushanka comes in in place of Harsh Dubey. So we get a little bit of more swinging options there up front. That is the plan,” said Ishan Kishan at the toss.
Speaking about SRH’s batting, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head made an opening stand of 75 runs to provide a strong start. Sharma went on to score 59 runs. Klaasen (59) also scored a half-century to add crucial runs in the middle overs.
However, other batters failed to support well. Ishan Kishan, Aniket Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Salil Arora got out cheaply. SRH used Liam Livingstone as an impact player but he too got out for just one run. In the end, SRH piled up 194/9.
