Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are aiming for their third straight victory in the clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The match 16 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is taking place at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
Both the teams have been unbeaten in the tournament so far. RR have defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Mumbai Indians (MI) and take the top spot in the IPL 2026 points table with six points.
Speaking about RCB, they have won both their opening games with ease. The Rajat Patidar & Co. outplayed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the tournament opener by six wickets, chasing down a mammoth 202-run target.
They were asked to bat first in the second game against CSK, where they posted the highest total of the tournament so far with 250/3. They outplayed CSK by 43 runs to register another big victory.
In match 16, RR won the toss and opted to field first. Both teams revealed their playing XI at the toss. Notably, Jacob Bethell yet again was not part of RCB’s playing XI. He also missed the previous two games.

RCB have overlooked Bethell once again for the clash against RR. The decision to keep him out of the playing XI is a tactical call by the team. Bethell is finding it difficult to find a place in the current team combination.
