Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are squaring off in the 67th match of the Indian Premier League 2026. The encounter got underway on May 22 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
While RCB take the top spot in the points table, SRH are placed in the third spot. A victory in tonight’s game can help SRH to book a berth in Qualifier 1.
SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first in the clash. They did not make any changes to their playing XI. For RCB, pacer Jacob Duffy was once again absent from playing XI.

Duffy has been overlooked from the playing XI once again. He last played in the clash against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 13, where he remained wicketless.
The right-arm pacer has played four games in the tournament and clinched six wickets. He bagged a three-wicket haul in RCB’s first game and won the Player of the Match award.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Rasikh Salam Dar are three pacers for RCB against SRH. They have made just one change to the playing XI. Jacob Bethell missed the game due to a finger injury. Rajat Patidar returned to the side after missing the previous clash.
“Yeah, definitely. This time we are not facing any kind of injury. There’s one change. Bethell got injured. He got an injury in his finger and I’m coming in place of Bethell,” Patidar said at the toss.
On his decision to bat first, Cummins said, “We’ll bat first. I think it’s a long shot getting in the top two, but we’ll give it a good crack tonight. We’ve been pretty clear that the boys are going to enjoy it tonight. We’re going to test out how good you are, maybe try a few new things ahead of the finals. But just, again, bat first, try and score as big as we can see if we can defend”.
