Jasprit Bumrah won't be available for selection in IND vs NEP, Asia Cup 2023, Group A match.

In a surprising turn of events from the India camp, Jasprit Bumrah has come back to India in the mid-Asia Cup tournament. Bumrah will be missing out on action against Nepal on Monday at Pallekele Cricket Stadium in Kandy. Jasprit Bumrah flew back to Mumbai from Colombo on Sunday evening. The reasons are unclear as no official words come out so far. But as per a few reports, the Bumrah couple is expecting a baby soon next week.

Bumrah couple expecting a baby?

Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah will be coming back to Mumbai for only a few days and will join the Indian camp once again before the Super 4 round. After Nepal game, India will most likely qualify for the Super 4 and their campaign will begin on 10th September against arch-rivals Pakistan. There will be almost a week gap between the two India games in the Asia Cup. In a most likely event, Bumrah has decided to be with his wife Sanjana Ganeshan at this time.

In place of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami will likely be added to the playing XI. Shami was not fully fit for the Pakistan clash on Saturday and Bumrah took charge of India’s pace attack along with Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur. Indian bowlers didn’t had any opportunity to bowl against their arch-rivals Pakistan as rain caused a complete washout in the second innings. India scored 266 runs with the help of Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya’s 138-run partnership.

Jasprit Bumrah has just made his comeback in the Indian squad. He played 2 T20I games against Ireland and led the Indian team to victory in the series. Jasprit Bumrah will be a crucial figure in the Indian playing XI for the upcoming World Cup as well. ACC is likely to shift the venue from Colombo as the Sri Lankan capital Colombo is witnessing heavy rains.
