Punjab Kings (PBKS) are taking on Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Monday, May 11. DC skipper Axar Patel won the toss and opted to bowl first in the encounter, which got underway at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.
While PBKS take the fourth spot in the points table, DC are placed in the eighth spot. This is a very crucial game for both sides. With a victory, Punjab will reach the top spot in the points table and inch one step closer to the playoffs. Capitals need to win at any cost to keep their playoffs hopes alive.
At the toss, Axar Patel informed that they have made five changes to their playing XI. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav was among the notable absentees. He featured in the previous few games of DC in IPL 2026.

Notably, Yadav has been dropped for the clash. The left-arm spinner failed to mark a mark in his previous three outings, getting wicketless in all of them. Hence, he might have been dropped due to his poor form.
Revealing the changes in the playing XI, Patel said at the toss, “So, it is fresh cricket, and we don’t know what will happen. The swing is also available for the fast bowlers. So, we are thinking that if we bat first, we will get a pitch idea, so we are chasing. There are five changes, so Abhishek Porel, Sahil Parakh is playing, David Miller is playing, Auqib Nabi is playing, and Madhav Tiwari is playing”.
Yadav has struggled with his form in IPL 2026. The left-armer has picked seven wickets in 11 games at an economy of 10.66. He also went wicketless in a few games.
