Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026). The SRH vs LSG, match 10 of IPL 2026, is taking place at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.
LSG lost their opening game against Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets, where they failed to post a respectable total in the first innings. Now, they aim for their first victory of the tournament. SRH have won one match against KKR and lost one against RCB.
LSG captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first. At the toss, he revealed the team’s playing XI. Notably, star pacers Mohsin Khan and Mayank Yadav were not part of their playing XI. Mayank was also absent from the previous game.
Why are Mohsin Khan and Mayank Yadav not playing vs SRH?
Neither of the two fast bowlers is recovering from injury. It looks like their absence is a tactical decision by Lucknow. Moreover, LSG might have kept them out of the initial games to protect them from injury at the start of the tournament.
“We are looking to bowl first. The wicket is good, but at the same time, you know, their main strength is batting. So, let them bat first. We can put them under pressure in the second innings. We keep on coming here every year, that’s not a new challenge. But at the same time, this is one team which can hurt you well,” Pant said at the toss.
