Delhi Capitals (DC) are clashing with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 18th match of the Indian Premier League 2026. The encounter is taking place at Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on April 11.
CSK have lost all three of their games in the tournament and aim for their first victory. They are placed in the last spot in the points table and the only team with no points in their kitty. DC have shown good form, winning two games and losing one out of three.

Why are Nitish and Vipraj not part of DC’s playing XI vs CSK?
Both Rana and Nigam have been dropped from the playing XI. Axar Patel confirmed that Ashutosh Sharma and Auqib Nabi Dar replaced them in this encounter. Notably, Rana and Nigam have been named as impact players and might be added to the playing XI if the need arises.
Speaking at the toss, Axar Patel said, “We would like to bowl first because the pitch looks good, and whatever score is set, we would prefer to chase it. The IPL is a long tournament and the dressing room atmosphere is very relaxed. Our aim will be to restrict them to as low a total as possible and then chase it down. There are two changes. Nabi comes in for Vipraj, and Ashutosh Sharma replaces Nitish Rana”.
Nigam was part of the previous three games. He scored 12 runs in the only match he batted and picked one wicket across three clashes. Rana failed to make a mark with the bat in all three matches, registering scores of 15,0, and 5.
