Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are clashing with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) tonight in the Indian Premier League 2026. The match is taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Both SRH and RCB have qualified for the playoffs, and this is their last game in the league stage. While RCB grab the top spot in the points table, SRH are placed third. With a victory, RCB will retain their top spot in the points table.
In match 67 of IPL 2026, SRH won the toss and opted to BAT first. RCB‘s star opener Phil Salt is again absent from the playing XI. He last featured in the clash against the Delhi Capitals on April 18.
Why is Phil Salt missing the SRH vs RCB clash?

Notably, Phil Salt sustained a finger injury while fielding near the boundary in his last game against the Delhi Capitals on April 18.
After that, he returned to the United Kingdom (UK) for further scans and treatment of his injured finger. Now, he has recovered from his injury and joined the RCB squad in India this week.
However, as a precautionary measure, he has been rested for the match against SRH and would be available to play in the playoffs. He is present at the stadium with his teammates. Ahead of the match against Hyderabad, Salt also addressed the hurdle.
Earlier, Salt provided quickfire starts in a few games and also scored a half-century in his last game. In his absence, his countryman Jacob Bethell opened the innings alongside Virat Kohli. However, Bethell has struggled to make a mark with his performances. He has scored just 96 runs in seven games.
Meanwhile, Salt has played six matches in IPL 2026 so far, scoring two half-centuries. With 202 runs in six games at a strike rate of 168.33, he has done a decent job for RCB.
