Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are squaring off in the 52nd match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Saturday, May 9. RR stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal won the toss and opted to field first in the clash, which is taking place at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Gujarat did a wonderful job with the batting, piling up a gigantic total of 229/4 in the first innings. Sai Sudharsan (55) and Shubman Gill (84) gave a brilliant start, adding an opening stand of 118 runs. Washington Sundar (37*) added crucial runs later to take the scoreboard to a big total.
Notably, GT captain Shubman Gill mentioned at the toss that pacer Prasidh Krishna is part of the match. The right-armer was named as one of the impact substitutes and was expected to take the field in the second innings. However, Krishna did not arrive at the field in the second innings, which confused many fans.
