Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are locking horns in the Indian Premier League 2026 tonight at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
It is a must-win game for the Delhi Capitals to keep their playoffs hopes alive. Axar Patel & Co. take eighth spot in the points table, having won five and lost seven out of 12 encounters.
On the other hand, the Rajasthan Royals started as one of the strongest sides in the initial phase. However, they have looked vulnerable recently, losing both previous clashes by big margins. RR are placed in the fifth spot in the points table, with six wins and five defeats.
In match 62, DC captain Axar Patel won the toss and opted to bowl first. RR skipper Riyan Parag informed that they have made a couple of changes to their playing XI. Unfortunately, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is not part of the match.
Why is Ravindra Jadeja missing the DC vs RR clash?

Jadeja has been rested for the clash to manage his workload. Ravi Singh has been picked as a replacement.
Speaking at the toss, Parag said, “We’ve had a few injuries here and there. I had to step out as well, so that hasn’t helped either. But as far as today is concerned, there’s just one change. Jaddu is out because of workload management and all of that, and Ravi Singh comes in for us”.
Jadeja was part of all the previous 11 matches. He has scored 190 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 133.80. He was unbeaten in four innings, with a highest score of 45. With the ball, he clinched eight wickets at an economy of 7.85. Hence, Jadeja has made a crucial contribution with his performances.
Meanwhile, RR will move one step closer to the playoffs with a victory in tonight’s game. DC will be eliminated if they lose tonight. So far, RCB is the only team to bag a berth in the playoffs.
