Rajasthan are placed in the fifth spot in the points table with 12 points. With a victory, they will grab the fourth spot. Another victory in the next game will confirm their spot in the playoffs. LSG languish in the last spot in the points table with eight points, winning just four games out of 12.
Rajasthan Royals regular captain Riyan Parag is not part of the encounter. In his absence, Yashasvi Jaiswal is captaining the side. At the toss, Jaiswal informed that Ravindra Jadeja is also not part of the match.
Why are Riyan Parag & Ravindra Jadeja missing the RR vs LSG match?
Parag is missing the game due to a hamstring injury. He played in the previous game. Jadeja has been rested due to a knee niggle. He was absent from the previous clash, too. Jaiswal said that Jadeja is expected to recover from his niggle soon.
Speaking at the toss, Jaiswal said, “We’re going to bowl first and I feel like it’s a good wicket. Later on, there will be some dew, I hope. So, we are going to chase. (Riyan) He had some hamstring injury and he’ll be fine soon, I hope so. So, he’s not playing this game.
We have three changes. Sandy, Sushant Mishra and Lhuan-dre Pretorious come in”. (On Jadeja) Nothing much at the moment. Jaddu bhai is recovering. He has some niggles, but he’ll be fine soon.
Parag has struggled with his form this season but scored a half-century in the previous game in a losing cause. In 11 matches, he has scored 258 runs at a strike rate of 151, with two half-centuries.
Jadeja has delivered an impressive performance with both bat and ball so far in IPL 2026. At an average of 47.50, he has scored 190 runs in eight innings, with a highest score of 45. He has clinched 8 wickets at an economy of 7.85.
