Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on May 13. RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to field first in the clash, which is taking place at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
RCB sit in second spot in the points table and can jump to the top spot with a victory against KKR. Moreover, they will also inch closer to the playoffs by winning tonight’s clash. Out of 11 games, RCB have won seven and lost four.
KKR are placed eighth in the points table, and one more defeat can send them to the brink of elimination. The Ajinkya Rahane & Co. have won four and lost five out of 10 games.
At the toss, Patidar informed that they have made two changes in the playing XI. Notably, spinner Suyash Sharma is not part of RCB’s playing XI in the match. He was part of the previous game against the Mumbai Indians (MI).
Why did Suyash Sharma miss RCB vs KKR clash of IPL 2026?

RCB have dropped Suyash for the encounter. He has been replaced by pacer Jacob Duffy as the team has preferred more pacers in the playing XI due to seam-friendly conditions.
RCB made one more change to their playing XI. Romario Shepherd was dropped and Venkatesh Iyer was picked as a replacement. Shephed was dropped due to his poor performance in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Sharma remained wicketless in his last two encounters against Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants. In 10 matches, he has taken seven wickets at an economy of 8.57.
