Why Virat Kohli has withdrawn from India squad for first two tests against England ?

Indian star batter Virat Kohli won’t be playing in Hyderabad and Vishakapatnam tests.
Just before the start of the five-match test series against England, Team India have suffered a big blow. Star Indian batter Virat Kohli will be skipping the first two test matches of the series as he has withdrawn his name from the squad due to undisclosed personal reasons. Kohli also skipped the first T20I match against Afghanistan earlier this month.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not named a replacement of Virat Kohli for the first two test matches. Kohli informed the decision of his withdrawal to Indian captain Rohit Sharma, team management and selectors before opting out of the initial phase of a big series against England.
BCCI requests Media and Fans to respect Virat’s privacy
The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India informed in a press release that the board respects Virat Kohli’s decision and they are confident of him taking part in remainder of the series. BCCI in a statement said, “The BCCI respects his decision and the Board and team management has extended its support to the star batter and is confident in the abilities of the remaining squad members to step up and deliver commendable performances in the Test series.”
The BCCI has also requested the media and fans to respect Virat Kohli’s privacy during this time. BCCI stated, “The BCCI requests the media and fans to respect Virat Kohli’s privacy during this time and refrain from speculating on the nature of his personal reasons. The focus should remain on supporting the Indian cricket team as they embark on the upcoming challenges in the Test series”
Virat Kohli will be missing the first test match at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad which is scheduled to begin on 25th January. The second test will be played at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam. Virat Kohli is likely to come back in the third test in Rajkot. The final two games of the upcoming series will be played in Ranchi and Dharamshala.
