Later, he had to leave the team due to national duties, and the RCB went on to win the championship.

He was once again retained by the team, courtesy of his incredible form across all formats of the game. He also impressed everyone with his skills in the T20 World Cup 2026. However, the team is sticking with the overseas combination they played last year, and Bethell might have to wait for his chances again.

RCB is already playing Devdutt Padikkal in the top order, who provides a left-handed batting option and has scored two back-to-back fifties in the first two games.
