Josh Hazlewood has not played any games for RCB in IPL 2026.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will square off in the 16th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The RR vs RCB clash will take place on April 10 (Friday) at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.
Both teams have shown impeccable form so far. The Riyan Parag & Co. have won three games in a row and grab the top spot in the IPL 2026 points table with six points.
Rajat Patidar-led RCB have won both the opening matches with ease and look as dominating like the last season. Although RCB’s bowling unit has done a brilliant job so far, they have missed the services of their star pacer Josh Hazlewood.
The Australian pacer has joined the RCB camp but has been recovering from hamstring and Achilles injuries. Hence, he was not part of previous two games.
Will Josh Hazlewood play for RCB vs RR?
Hazlewood is expected to play in the clash against Rajasthan Royals. He has been participating in the team’s practice session of late. Therefore, there is a possibility that he might play in the upcoming game. Moreover, RR have looked like a strong side and RCB would need their full bowling strength to overpower them.
Hazlewood has been recovering from the injuries since November last year. The right-arm pacer last played for Australia in October 2025. He didn’t feature in any games in The Ashes 2025-26 and also missed the T20 World Cup 2026 in February and March.
Last season, Hazlewood played a pivotal role in RCB’s journey to the title. He clinched 22 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 17.55 and an economy of 8.77, including a four-wicket haul. He finished as the team’s highest wicket-taker and third overall.
