The difference in form between the two teams makes this a really interesting matchup. KKR’s biggest headache has been Sunil Narine’s uncharacteristic slump. He has only managed one wicket for 69 runs so far, while Varun Chakravarthy is still looking to get off the mark this season.
LSG, on the other hand, have been lethal in the powerplay. They have already ripped through oppositions in the first six overs, thanks to the clinical bowling of Prince Yadav and Mohammed Shami.

It’s clear the management trusts Shami and Prince Yadav to lead the attack at Eden Gardens, especially since that pair has been so effective. While everyone is waiting for Mayank Yadav’s big return to the IPL 2026 stage, it looks like we might have to wait just a little longer.
