Sunrisers Hyderabad faced a big defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 7 wickets in their previous game. They were short of their key all-rounder, Nitish Kumar Reddy, in the clash, who missed the game due to illness. Smaran Ravichandran was added to the playing XI in his absence.

Notably, Reddy has recovered from his illness and is highly likely to play against PBKS. In the pre-match press conference on Tuesday, SRH head coach Daniel Vettori informed that Reddy has recovered from his illness and is expected to play in the next game.
“I spoke to him this morning, and he’s feeling a lot better. He’s going to train today, but we don’t foresee a situation where he won’t play tomorrow,” Vettori told the media.
Reddy last played in the clash against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 29 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
In nine games, he has scored 193 runs at a strike rate of 160.83 and clinched six wickets at an economy rate of 10.86. He also hammered one half-century and has provided decent support in both departments.
