Pat Cummins has missed all 7 games for SRH in IPL 2026.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is in full swing, with almost all teams having played at seven matches. Only one team remains undefeated in the tournament, and now top teams in Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be up against each other at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday, April 25.

SRH are currently fourth in the league table, having won their last three matches, while RR are third. The two teams faced each other earlier this month at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on April 13, where SRH recorded a resounding 57-run triumph over the inaugural champions.

Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain helped the SRH outclass the exploiting opening pair and solid middle order of the RR in the absence of their designated captain, Pat Cummins. The Australian bowler, who joined the Orange Army in 2024 for a whopping INR 20.50 crore, has missed the initial seven games of the 2026 IPL season for the 2016 champions.

Cummins also missed the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup due to a back injury, and at the start of the IPL last month, Cricket Australia said the 32-year-old would miss the first few matches of the tournament, much like compatriots Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc.

Pat Cummins returned to Australia after SRH’s victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to get the necessary scans and clearances to play. Thus, the 32-year-old has cleared the fitness test and is confirmed to feature in the SRH’s XI against RR.

The Australian bowler also shared a post on social media on April 24, confirming his availability for the upcoming clash. In the caption of the Instagram post, he wrote, “Been a long time coming, stinging to get back into it tomorrow.”

In Cummins’ absence, the team was led by Ishan Kishan. Despite getting a dismal start to their campaign by losing three out of their initial four matches, the Sunrisers have managed to bounce back by climbing to fourth spot with eight points and a net run rate of +0.820.
