"Can't wait to see you back!" Wishes pour in as Rishabh Pant celebrates his 26th birthday

Rishabh Pant celebrated his birthday by visiting Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines.

India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant is celebrating his 26th birthday on October 4, 2023. The cricketer has been out of action as he is recovering from the injuries he sustained in a near-fatal car accident in December last year.

Pant was traveling from Delhi to his hometown in Roorkee when just outside the destination, his car skidded off and hit a divider and caught fire. Locals dragged Pant out of the car before flames engulfed him. He received some first-aid and cosmetic surgeries at a local hospital in Dehradun.

But the BCCI then airlifted him to Mumbai, where he underwent further treatment and a surgery on his knee which had sustained damage. After spending some time recuperating in the hospital, Pant was released to recover at home.

After that, Rishabh Pant has been taking one step at a time towards full recovery at the NCA in Bengaluru. Slowly, he got rid of the crutches he used to walk and began facing balls from a machine.

On August 15, Pant was seen batting in an exhibition match for the first time and the people present loved the way he hit some big shots. He has also begun doing hard workouts with a focus on his wicketkeeping.

Rishabh Pant showered with love and well wishes from fans and fellow India cricketers on his birthday

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant decided to celebrate by visiting the Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines a day before his birthday. He was accompanied by a local MLA and other supporters. He was seen seeking blessings from Shivji and Vishnuji at their respective temples and looked much fitter.

While there is still time for him to return to serious cricket, everyone hopes that when he comes back, he will be fully fit. India will definitely miss him in their World Cup 2023 squad.

However, he received lots of wishes and messages to get well soon on his birthday.
