WPL 2025 auction took place on December 15, 2024 in Bengaluru.

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 auction took place on December 15, 2024 in Bengaluru. The event, which preceded the third edition of the tournament, saw 16-year-old G Kamalini grabbing headlines by securing a whopping deal of INR 1.6 crores with Mumbai Indians.

Other significant acquisitions in the auction included the superstar West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin and Indian batter Simran Shaikh, both of whom were secured by Gujarat Giants for INR 1.7 crores and INR 1.9 crores respectively.

Another key signing by the Mumbai Indians was Nadline De Klerk, who joined the franchise for INR 30 lakhs. Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals added Nandini Kashyap to their squad for INR 10 lakhs.

Several notable players, including Lauren Bell, Poonam Yadav, Darcie Brown, Kim Grath, and Laura Harris, went unsold at the auction.

Before the auction, all five franchises had retained their core group and made some additions at the auction to finalize their squad for the third edition of the league, which will take place next year. Let’s take a look at how all squads have shaped up following the auction.
