WPL 2026 mega auction: List of all players bought by Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals bought 11 players in WPL 2026 mega auction.

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) mega auction 2026 took place in Delhi on Thursday, November 27. Delhi Capitals (DC) Women were in the spotlight as they bought 11 players at the auction. Their costliest picks were Chinelle Henry and N Charani for INR 1.30 crores each. Their also spent a hefty amount of INR 1.10 crores for Laura Wolvaardt. Sneh Raha, Taniyaa Bhatia, and Minnu Mani were a few other popular players they bought in the auction.

A total of 277 players had registered for WPL 2026 auction, out of which, there were 194 Indian players and 83 overseas players. A total of 73 slots were available across five different teams, out of which, there were 50 slots for domestic players and 23 for overseas players.

Out of 194 Indian players, there were 52 capped and 142 uncapped players. Among the overseas contingent, there were 66 capped and 17 uncapped players. DC did not have any Right to Match cards available in the auction as they retained five players.

Delhi Capitals retained five players ahead of WPL 2026 mega auction

Ahead of the auction, DC had retained five players in their squad. Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, and Niki Prasad were three Indian players retained by the franchise. Australia’s Annabel Sutherland and South African all-rounder Marizann Kapp were overseas members.

They parted ways with captain Meg Lanning ahead of the auction, which came as a big surprise for many fans as she led the team to the finals in three consecutive seasons. After spending 9.30 crore in retentions, DC had INR 5.70 crore in their salary purse ahead of the auction, less than any other franchise. They had 13 available slots in their squad, out of which, there were four slots for overseas players.
