Royal Challengers Bengaluru bought 12 players in WPL 2026 mega auction.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) conducted the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 mega auction on November 27 in Delhi. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women, who won the WPL 2024, bought a total of 12 players ahead of the 2026 edition.

RCB bought Lauren Bell for INR 90 lakhs as she became their costliest player in this year’s auction. They also bought Pooja Vastrakar for INR 85 lakhs and Arundhati Reddy for INR 75 lakhs. Grace Harris and Nadine De Kler were prominent overseas players acquired by them. They also bought Prema Rawat through Right to Match card for INR 20 lakhs.

Ahead of the auction, RCB had INR 6.15 crores left in their salary purse. They had 14 vacant slots for players, out of which, there were five slots for overseas players. Each team can have a minimum of 15 players and a maximum of 18 players in their squad in WPL 2026.

The WPL 2024 champion retained four players in their squad ahead of the auction. Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, and Shreyanka Patil were the three Indian players, while Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry was the only overseas player retained by them.

They spent INR 8.85 crore for retaining these four players. Since RCB retained four players in their squad, they had only one Right to Match card available.
