Gujarat Giants lost Beth Mooney (13 off 12) early. But her wicket was followed by some great knocks from the other batters. Sophie Devine (38 off 20) and Anushka Sharma (44 off 30) played brilliant cameos and kept up the rate. Captain Ash Gardner continued her good form and scored a fifty.

She scored 65 off 41 balls, with six fours and three sixes. Georgia Wareham (27* off 10) and Bharti Fulmali (14* off 7) added 34 runs off just 13 balls to take GG-W to 207/4.

It was a stiff task, and UPW-W had a poor start with the first wicket in the very first over. But it was followed with a 70-run stand between captain Meg Lanning (30 off 27) and Phoebe Litchfield. UPW-W lost three wickets in five balls in the middle and were reduced to 74/4 in 9.1 overs.

But Litchfield carried on and scored 78 off 40 balls, with 8 fours and five sixes. Shewta Sehrawat (25 off 17) and Asha Sobhana (27* off 10) also played good cameos, but it was too late for UPW-W as they fell short of the target by just ten runs.
