WPL 2026 mega auction: List of all players released and retained by Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have retained four players ahead of the WPL 2026 mega auction.

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) has become a premium brand in women’s cricket and has hosted three blockbuster seasons. The preparation for the fourth edition has begun, and teams are making their list to target players at the auction. Before that, all five teams submitted their retention list on Thursday, November 6.

The WPL 2026 mega auction is scheduled to take place in Delhi on November 27. All five teams were asked to retain a maximum of five players. The 2024 season winners, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), have also revealed the names of players they will retain, and there were some surprise names that featured on their released list.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru couldn’t defend their title in the WPL 2025

RCB made history when Smriti Mandhana led them to lift the WPL title in 2024. But in the last season, they couldn’t repeat the success from the previous season. RCB started WPL 2025 with two consecutive wins and were looking good.

But, it changed suddenly as they reached their home venue in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB were scheduled to play five games at their home venue, and they lost all five matches. That cost them a chance to make it to the knockouts. Overall, they had three wins out of eight games and finished fourth on the table.
