Left-arm pacer Yash Dayal is pulling his socks up for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where he will represent Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The speedster has been retained by the franchise for IPL 2026, where they will aim to defend their title.
RCB won the trophy last season by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final and Dayal was a crucial part of the team’s journey in their first-ever title. The left-arm pacer clinched 13 wickets in 15 games at an economy of 9.59 and an average of 36.15.
The defending champions have retained Dayal for INR 5 crore for the next season. The Rajat Patidar & Co. will play the tournament opener on March 28 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Dayal would look forward to another impressive season with the RCB.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the RCB fast bowler secretly got married last month to content creator Shweta Pundir. Their wedding took place on February 4 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The ceremony was attended by only family members and close relatives. While the RCB pacer has not made any announcement about his marriage, Shweta shared a video of their wedding on her Instagram account.
The video went viral on social media and caught the attention of many cricket fans. As a result, photos from their wedding were also shared by fans on social media.
Meanwhile, Shweta is a social media influencer and vlogger from Delhi and has over 5.80 lakh followers on Instagram. She has worked as a broadcaster for the Intercontinental Legends Championship.
Last year, Dayal was caught in a controversy after an FIR was filed against him alleging sexual assault of a minor girl between 2023 and 2024.
A woman from Ghaziabad filed a seperate case against him in July last year over sexual exploitation, mental harassment, and financial cheating under the pretext of marriage for five years. However, his legal team has denied both the charges and the investigation in the matter is underway.
The Rajasthan High Court granted him protection from arrest in January 2026, which put a temporary stay on his arrest, but required him to appear before the investigating officer
