Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has crossed 150 mark in his debut innings in test cricket.

India carried forward their supreme dominance into the third day, as Yashasvi Jaiswal, the debutant, reached an impressive milestone of 150 runs, making him only the third Indian player after Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma to achieve this feat in their debut Test. Jaiswal, who previously became the 17th Indian batsman to score a century on debut, is now poised to achieve his maiden double century, showcasing his exceptional potential and determination.

Earlier in 2013, Shikhar Dhawan displayed his brilliance by scoring a remarkable 187 runs against Australia at Mohali on his Test Debut. In the same year, Rohit Sharma showcased his batting prowess with a superb knock of 177 runs against West Indies at Eden Gardens on his Test Debut.

First Indian batsman to hit 150+ on test debut in an overseas Test

In an extraordinary display of talent and skill, Yashasvi Jaiswal made history by becoming the first Indian batsman to score 150 runs on his debut in an overseas Test. Earlier Shikhar Dhawan (187) and Rohit Sharma (177) achieved this record in home of scoring 150+ on test debut.

His exceptional form has continued to shine brightly in Dominica, where he has not only demonstrated his prowess but also shattered multiple records during his innings in the first Test. Jaiswal's remarkable achievements further solidify his status as a rising star in Indian cricket.

Yashasvi Jaiswal surpasses Sourav Ganguly

During his exceptional debut in an overseas Test, Jaiswal surpassed Sourav Ganguly's record of 131 runs, which had stood as the highest score by an Indian batsman in their debut Test abroad. Ganguly had achieved this milestone during his first match for India in the Test Cricket against England at Lord's in 1996.

India extend their lead to 186 runs after the end of 123 overs

After 123 overs of play, Indian have accumulated an impressive total of 336 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Virat Kohli remains undefeated with 46 runs to his name, while Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in outstanding form, scoring an unbeaten 157 runs. Their partnership has not only boosted India's total but also extended the team's lead by 186 runs
