Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has created history in the Indian Premier League with his 13-ball half-century against Kolkata Knight Riders. Jaiswal hit the fastest half-century in the history of IPL. Jaiswal smashed KKR bowlers all around the park to complete a record-breaking half-century. Jaiswal has broken the record of Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul who held the record of scoring the fastest fifty before Yashasvi. Rahul smashed a 14-ball fifty against Delhi Daredevils while playing for Kings XI Punjab in 2018. Jaiswal took just 13 balls to reach his milestone. With Jaiswal’s inning, Rajasthan are off to a great start and they have control in the game against KKR. Yuvraj Singh still holds the record of smashing the fastest 50 in T20 cricket, he completed his 50 in just 12 balls against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

Rajasthan are chasing 150 runs against Kolkata. Yashasvi had taken his game to another level this season. He also scored a century this season against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. Jaiswal with his consistency is making his case strong for the upcoming World Cup 2023. Yashasvi Jaiswal got off to a flier and smashed 26 runs in the first over of the innings against Nitish Rana. He smashed 3 fours and 2 sixes in the Royals' first over. He again smashed three back-to-back fours in KKR’s third over to Shardul Thakur and completed his half-century in just 13 balls.
