The two-match test series between India and South Africa will begin on November 14 in Kolkata, and Jaiswal’s move is in line with the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) directive to all contracted players to feature in domestic competitions when available.
If Jaiswal plays, it will be his first appearance for Mumbai after recommitting to the squad in May, after initially seeking an NOC to play for Goa. He missed the first two games against Jammu & Kashmir and Chhattisgarh in the opening round of Ranji Trophy 2025-26.
