Yograj Singh termed his son Yuvraj Singh as the greatest cricketer India have ever produced.
Former Indian player Yograj Singh has made a big claim about his son and former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, saying that the latter had capability, according to him, to play 200 tests and also score 200 centuries. He also termed his son the best cricketer India has ever produced.
Yuvraj Singh arguably is among the greatest all-rounders to have played for the Indian Cricket Team. During his international career from 2000 to 2019, he represented India in 40 tests, 304 ODIs, and 58 T20Is. He was one of the major reasons behind India’s victories in the ICC T20 World Cup 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, playing an important role with bat and ball.
While he tasted immense success in white-ball cricket, his test career was a short lived as he played just 40 games, where he piled up 1900 runs and clinched nine wickets. At a batting average of 33.92, he hammered three centuries and 11 fifties in the longest format.

During a recent podcast with Krishnank Atrey on YouTube, Yograj claimed that his son Yuvraj had capability to play 200 tests and score 200 centuries. The 67-year-old also believes that his son is the best cricketer ever produced by India.
During the conversation, Yograj was asked: “Who is the best cricketer India has ever produced?
Replying to the question, Yograj said, “If you talk about all-rounders, then Kapil Dev. If you talk about batsmen, then you have Yuvraj Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, and Sourav Ganguly – all these guys – but I think Yuvi (Yuvraj) is topping everybody in my book. He would have played about 200 Test matches and maybe scored 200 centuries, which I thought… and he was capable of.“
Meanwhile, Yuvraj announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2019. Earlier in August this year, he captained India Champions in ICC World Championship of Legends 2025, a franchise T20 tournament for retired players.
