Only two batters have hit a century before turning 20 in the IPL.

Undoubtedly, Indian Premier League (IPL) is an incredible platform for young Indian cricketers to build and develop their careers. Over 18 seasons of the IPL, many youngsters have made a mark in the tournament with consistent performances. Later, many of them also cemented their permanent spots in the national side.

A century in a 20-over game like IPL is a very big achievement for any batsman. More than 50 batters have achieved this record in the tournament since the inaugural season. Brendon McCullum was the first to hit a century, Chris Gayle holds the record for scoring the fastest ton off just 30 deliveries, Virat Kohli has slammed the most (8) centuries, while Manish Pandey was the first Indian cricketer to score a hundred in the tournament history.

Similarly, many youngsters have also shattered a ton in the league over the last 18 seasons. Some of them were so young that their incredible innings became headlines of the season. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five youngest batters to hit a century in the IPL.
