South Africa are locking horns with Zimbabwe in their last Super 8 match in the T20 World Cup 2026. The ZIM vs SA clash got underway on Sunday, March 1, at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Zimbabwe are already out of the tournament after losing their first two matches of the Super 8 round. On the other hand, South Africa have already qualified for the semi-finals. The Aiden Markram & Co. grab the top spot in the Group 1 points table, and this will be a dead rubber game for both teams.

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza won the toss and opted to bat first. At the toss, South Africa skipper Aiden Markram informed that seam all-rounder Marco Jansen was not part of the playing XI.

The Proteas skipper revealed that they have rested three players in the encounter. Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada, and Keshav Maharaj were rested for the match. Kwena Maphaka, Anrich Nortje and George Linde were added as replacements.

Speaking at the toss, Markram said,“We’ve got three changes: Kwena Maphaka, Anrich Nortje and George Linde are in. Rest for some of the players, but also a chance for some who’ve worked hard behind the scenes. You never know what happens in the semifinals, if someone pulls up, so some time under their legs. So the idea is to get them running”.

Jansen has shown a wonderful form in the tournament. The left-arm pacer has clinched 11 wickets in five games at an average of 16.72 and an economy of 9.27.

Zimbabwe Playing XI: Tadiwanashe Marumani (WK), Brian Bennett, Dion Myers, Sikandar Raza (C), Ryan Burl, Tony Munyonga, Clive Madande, Brad Evans, Wellington Masakadza, Graeme Cremer, Blessing Muzarabani.

South Africa Playing XI: Aiden Markram (C), Quinton de Kock (w), Ryan Rickelton, Dewald Brevis, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, George Linde, Corbin Bosch, Anrich Nortje, Kwena Maphaka, Lungi Ngidi.
