Jose Mourinho among favourites to become next Al Ittihad manager

Cristiano Ronaldo convinced Jose Mourinho to manage Saudi club
The Roma manager previously stated that Cristiano Ronaldo has encouraged him to relocate to Saudi Arabia in the future. Jose Mourinho has come out as a contender to become the permanent manager of Al-Ittihad.
The Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal, where Neymar plays, is said to have made the "biggest and craziest offer" in management history, according to Roma manager Jose Mourinho. But Nuno's resignation has left a vacancy at Al-Ittihad, the current Saudi champions.
After winning the Saudi Super Cup, the team earned its first league title in 14 years under the leadership of the seasoned Portuguese manager in May. That came before a plethora of superstars signed with the team as part of an investment-backed hiring spree.
Fabinho, N'Golo Kante, and Karim Benzema were a few of the well-known additions to the Jeddah team, but the current campaign has not turned out as planned as the team is currently mired in sixth place.
After 12 rounds of competition, they are 11 points behind league leaders Al-Hilal, and they split ways with Nuno on Tuesday.
Even if he intends to stay in England, former Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui is reportedly being considered. Mourinho is more amenable to a transfer, albeit given that Roma is in the middle of their season, any transfer would probably have to wait until the summer.
Jose Mourinho has stated that he is willing to manage in Saudi Arabia. While he has had two successful seasons at Roma (winning the Europa Conference League in the inaugural campaign and making it to the Europa League final in his second), his remaining in the Italian city is in doubt due to the lacklustre home play.
