Top 10 leagues with the most players going to World Cup 2022

Countries with players featuring exclusively from their domestic league feature on the list.

Football fans across the world will be glued to screens in the months of November and December for the FIFA World Cup 2022, the quadrennial extravaganza that brings together the best players in the world. Playing in one of the world’s most watched, most prestigious sporting events is a dream for many players—and hopeful players-to-be. World Cup hosts Qatar and Saudi Arabia are the only teams with all 26 players on their roster coming from their domestic league systems as the Qatar Stars League will be well-represented at the tournament.  England is close to domestic representation as 25 of 26 players playing their trades in the Premier League.

10. Liga MX

It is the top professional football division in Mexico, the is considered the strongest in North America and among the strongest in all of America. It has a total of 23 players from the league participating in the World Cup 2022.

9. EFL Championship

It is the second tier of English football after the Premier League. The championship is the wealthiest non-top-flight football division in the world. The EFL Championship also shows how strong England is down the soccer pyramid as the only second division to make the top ten leagues represented. It has a total of 26 players from the league who are going to play in the upcoming world cup.

8. Qatar Stars League

It is the top-level football league in the Qatar football league system, and comprises of 12 teams. This is the first time Qatar is going to play in the world cup and almost all of their players play in the league. A total of 33 players from the league are going to play in the World Cup, Surely after the world cup, the league will be more acknowledged.

7. Saudi Pro League

It is the first tier of the Saudi football league system and is one of the most popular leagues in Asia. There are 16 clubs in the Saudi Professional League. It has a total of 33 players in the league who will appear in the world cup, all the players in the Saudi team selected for the world cup play in their domestic league.

Unfortunately, the Euro Champions were not able to qualify for the world cup this year but many players who play in the league will definitely be present in the tournament. It is having a total of 68 players from the league to play in the World Cup.

The Bundesliga is Germany's primary football competition. Bundesliga is a professional association football league in Germany. At the top of the German football league system. It is one of the most popular leagues in the world. Bayern Munich and Dortmund are the most famous clubs in the league. A total of 76 players from the league will appear in the World cup, Bayern Munich alone is having 17 players playing in the World Cup.

 LaLiga is the men's top professional football division of the Spanish football league system. Administered by the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional, it is contested by 20 teams. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are some of the most famous clubs in the league.
