The Nizams dominated the match and secured yet another convincing win in the league.
Hyderabad FC secured an impressive 6-1 win over NorthEast United at the G.M.C Balayogi Athletic Stadium, Hyderabad on Thursday. The result takes the Nizams to the top of the Indian Super League (ISL 2022-23) standings for the time being, one point ahead of Mumbai City.
Manolo Marquez’s men were dominant and did not give the visitors any time to settle. They won most of the individual battles and looked hungrier for the win. The manner of the win was particularly noteworthy as HFC outperformed NEUFC in every department.
Here are the player ratings from the match that saw Hyderabad FC demolish NorthEast United:
Hyderabad FC (by Waseem Zaidi)
Gurmeet Singh (GK) - 6.5
Gurmeet Singh was unfortunate to come away from the game without a clean sheet. He was a spectator for the most part. He made two key saves in the dying stages of the match to keep NEUFC’s attackers at bay.
Nikhil Poojary - 7.0
Nikhil Poojary worked his socks off once again on the right wing. He was solid in both defence and attack. In a praiseworthy performance, Poojary got an assist, one shot on target and made two interceptions for his team.
Odei Onaindia - 8.0
Odei scored from a sensational half-volley during the game, which was also his first-ever ISL goal. He led the backline well, except for one weak moment, which resulted in NEUFC’s goal due to poor man marking.
Nim Dorjee - 7.5
Nim Dorjee is making the most of his opportunity in the heart of defence as he displayed yet another impressive performance alongside Onaindia. Playing as a centre-back, Dorjee made five clearances and kept a close watch on the NEUFC forwards.
Akash Mishra - 7.5
Akash Mishra was sensational in his defensive duties, not allowing NEUFC wingers any room. He created one scoring chance, attempted five tackles, and made two clearances and one interception during the game.
Hitesh Sharma - 6.5
Hitesh Sharma was a silent contributor in Hyderabad FC’s midfield. His partnership with Borja Herrera gave the side a good balance as Sharma held a deeper position. He was substituted at the 58th-minute mark after getting 24 touches on the ball.
Borja Herrera - 9.0
Borja Herrera was excellent for the Nizams as he scored a goal and made one assist. Overall, the midfielder had three shots on target and proved to be a menace with his late runs into the box and set-piece deliveries.
Mohammad Yasir - 8.0
Mohammad Yasir got an assist during the game as he delivered a fabulous ball for Javier Siverio in the box. He was adventurous on the ball and a constant source of threat from the right flank.
Halicharan Narzary - 7.5
Halicharan Narzary provided the assist for Joel Chianese’s goal with a decent cross from the left flank. He created three big chances for the team, showing a great hunger to play the role of the creator.
Bartholomew Ogbeche - 7.0
Unfortunately for Bartholomew Ogbeche, he was not one of the scorers despite HFC getting six goals. However, his overall contribution was noteworthy. He created three big chances and took five shots on goal. Furthermore, he made two clearances as well.
Javier Siverio - 9.5
Javier Siverio scored a brace in a fantastic performance for the Nizams. He scored with a sublime volley for the first and a decent tap-in for the second. The Spaniard created a lot of trouble for NEUFC defenders with his movement in the box and overall industry.

Joe Zoherliana - 5.5
Joe had a high number of touches and made a few good tackles, one clearance, and one interception. This was however, not enough to prevent Hyderabad from scoring at their will. No attacking threat whatsoever.

Romain Philippoteaux - 7.5
Another good performer for NorthEast. Took four shots, two of which were on target. Whipped in two crosses. Scored a goal towards the end, but it was unfortunately flagged offside. Tried his best to link up with Jordan but lacked support from others.
