This was the season's first goalless draw.

Odisha FC and ATK Mohun Bagan played out a goalless draw at the Kalinga Stadium as the Indian Super League (ISL 2022-23) action resumed after a short break on Thursday. The home team certainly dominated the proceedings by taking 18 shots but their inefficient finishing coupled with some sturdy defending by Juan Ferrando's men meant that the scoreline was not troubled at the end of 90 minutes.

ATK Mohun Bagan and Odisha are placed third and fourth in the standings respectively, after 10 games each and they will be ruing missing out on scalping three points from this match to build a greater distance between them in the table.

Here are the player ratings from this match.

Odisha FC (By Souvari Paul)

Amrinder Singh - 8.0

Amrinder was brilliant on the pitch tonight. He faced four shots on goal and saved all of them. In addition, he made two clearances, punched three balls, and caught one.

Narender Gahlot - 8.5

Gahlot was the best player on the pitch tonight. He provided stability to Odisha's backline by having 82 touches and making 39 passes, two successful tackles, and three clearances. He was equally effective in aiding his side's attack as he took one shot and put in three crosses.

Osama Malik - 7.0

Surprisingly, Osama looked good in attack as he took four shots, one of which was on target. He had 54 touches in total and made 34 passes and four clearances.

Carlos Delgado - 7.5

Delgado had 51 touches, made 26 passes, and took two shots throughout the game. He looked good in Odisha's defence where he made five clearances and one successful interception.

Sahil Panwar - 7.0

Sahil looked lively on the left side of Odisha's defence. He put in two crosses and created one chance. He played his role in defence by making one successful tackle, one clearance, and one successful interception.

Thoiba Singh - 5.5

Thoiba had a lacklustre game tonight. He had 40 touches in total throughout. He contributed defensively by making one successful tackle and two clearances.

Raynier Fernandes - 8.0

As usual, Raynier had a very good game as he took five shots in total, one of which was on target. Having 43 touches, he created three chances throughout. He also looked good in defence as he made one successful tackle, one clearance, and one successful interception.

Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 7.5

Jerry created two chances, glanced a shot, and put in three crosses throughout the game. He also made two successful tackles.

Diego Mauricio - 6.5

Compared to his last game, Mauricio had an inspiring game tonight. He created one chance, took two shots, and whipped in two crosses.

Pedro Martin - 4.5

Pedro started today but was not able to make any significant contribution throughout his 65-minute stay on the pitch.

Isaac Vanmalsawma - 7.5

Isaac enjoyed a good game playing in an unusual position. He created two chances, glanced two shots, and whipped in three crosses.

Substitutes

Victor Rodriguez - 6.0

Victor came on in the 65th minute. Even though he played his part decently, he was not able to make any special impact on the game that could have changed its course.

ATK Mohun Bagan (By Tarkesh Jha)

Vishal Kaith – 6

Kaith made a couple of saves along with three clearances and punches as well. However, only two of Odisha’s shots were aimed at goal so the custodian wasn’t called to action frequently.

Asish Rai – 6

Rai made a couple of crosses, clearances and interceptions each in addition to four tackles to round off an all-round performance at the back.

Pritam Kotal – 6

Kotal put in four tackles and interceptions each along with a block to ensure that Odisha’s dynamic frontline don't get the better of the visitors’ backline.

Brendan Hamill – 7

The Australian centre-back kept things tidy in defence – maintaining a 92 per cent passing accuracy in addition to making four tackles and clearances each.

Subhasish Bose – 6

Bose made eight clearances and even put in a cross along with tackling thrice as he was industriously involved in keeping his flank free from any incisive moves by the home team.

Deepak Tangri – 6.5

Tangri registered a couple of shots, one of which was targeted at goal, and even made nine tackles and two clearances. He kept a 75 per cent passing accuracy and also created a goal-scoring opportunity.

Carl McHugh – 6

With five tackles and two interceptions, McHugh looked to push things affirmatively forward from the base of the midfield. He took a shot on target too, but couldn’t help his team break the deadlock in the end.

Liston Colaco – 5.5

Colaco took two shots, out of which one was on target, and created a goal-scoring opportunity too! The 24-year-old also tackled twice but couldn’t help his side get the ball into the back of the net eventually.

Dimitri Petratos – 6

Petratos attempted 30 passes, indicating that he was intensely involved in the build-up process. He constantly switched to the wings, putting in four crosses along with tackling and intercepting twice each. However, the forward would have desired greater efficiency from his end to help his team snatch three points from the game.

Ashique Kuruniyan – 5

Kuruniyan won four fouls but could complete only nine passes in 90 minutes. He delivered a cross but Ferrando would want greater creativity from his attackers.

Md. Fardin Ali Molla – 4

The 20-year-old couldn’t make the most of this rare start, leading the frontline, as he completed only three passes and was hauled off at half time.

Substitutes

Kiyan Nassiri– 5

Kiyan came on for Fardin and was fairly more engaged in the proceedings – making six passes and delivering one cross. But ATK Mohun Bagan seemed to lack the presence of an imposing figure up top in attack.

Hugo Boumous – 5

Boumous played for only 11 minutes but immediately became the centre of attraction, initiating moves, taking on players and winning multiple fouls in that short while.

Lalrinliana Hnamte – N/A
