The Juggernauts are yet to be defeated at home.

In another disappointing outing for NorthEast United, Odisha FC clinched a much-expected home win to reduce their gap with table-toppers Mumbai City and elevated themselves to the second spot. Odisha FC played the game well in which their in-form Indian wingers, Jerry and Nandha, scored the goals to earn all three points. For NorthEast United, it is their eighth straight loss of the season.

In light of this, let us take a look at how the players of both sides performed.

Odisha FC

Amrinder Singh - 5.5

Amrinder Singh did not have to do much today. In the instant when Odisha conceded, Amrinder should have done better. Barring that, he needed to catch only one ball throughout the game.

Narender Gahlot - 7.5

Gahlot had a decent day at the office. In attack, he took one shot, put in one cross, had 55 touches, and made 23 passes. In defence, he made one successful tackle, two clearances, and two successful interceptions.

Osama Malik - 8.0

Osama Malik was rock solid today at the base of Odisha’s defence. He provided stability to the backline and created one chance. He had 60 touches and made 45 passes, one clearance, and one successful interception.

Carlos Delgado - 7.5

Carlos Delgado had a solid outing today as he looked sturdy in the middle of Odisha’s defence. He had 67 touches in total and made 46 passes. He made one successful tackle, three clearances, and two successful interceptions.

Sahil Panwar - 8.0

Sahil Panwar looked very lively on the right side of Odisha's defence. He aided the side’s attack by putting in three crosses. He was also good in his defensive duties where he made two successful tackles, one clearance, and one successful interception.

Raynier Fernandes - 5.5

Raynier was on the pitch for only 30 minutes. He was quite decent in this tenure and took two shots and whipped in one cross. But it was too less time for him to make any significant impact.

Saúl Crespo - 9.0

Saul Crespo was perhaps the best player on the pitch today. He assisted the second goal for his side as it was from his shot’s ricochet that Jerry scored. Apart from that, he glanced three shots in total and created two chances. He had 97 touches and made 63 passes, both highest for any player on the pitch. He aided the defence too, by making five clearances and two successful interceptions.

Thoiba Singh - 7.5

Thoiba looked very lively in the middle of the park and created two chances for his side. Even though he had only 25 touches, his presence in the midfield was effective for the side. He also made two successful tackles.

Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 8.0

Jerry was very good in attack as he scored the winning goal for Odisha FC. He took two shots in total, floated in three crosses, had 56 touches, and made 26 passes.

Diego Maurício - 6.5

Mauricio spearheaded Odisha FC’s attacks and looked threatening throughout. He assisted his side's first goal and registered two shots, both of which were off-target. He also whipped in two crosses.

Nandhakumar Sekar - 8.5

Nandha again had a very good game. He scored the first goal of the match, took four shots in total, and whipped in six crosses. Moreover, throughout the game, he had 50 touches and made 33 passes.

Substitutes

Isaac Vanmalsawma - 8.0

Victor Rodriguez - 4.5

Rodriguez could not live up to the expectations after coming on as a sub. Even though the job was done for his side, he was not much effective in any third of the game.

Pedro Martin - 4.5

The same is the case with Pedro martin as well. He was brought in to find the winner, which he could not. He also did not look effective in the side’s attacks.

Nikhil Prabhu - 5.5

Nikhil Prabhu’s day went well after coming on as a sub. He played his part well by registering 12 touches and making two clearances.

NorthEast United

Arindam Bhattacharya - 6.5

Arindam performed well after coming back into the starting XI and looked sturdy under NorthEast United's goal. Out of the five shots which he faced, he saved three. He also made two clearances, punched one ball, and caught four balls.

Joe Zoherliana - 6.5

Joe had a decent game today. He looked good going up and put in a cross. He had 59 touches in total and made 22 passes. Furthermore, he made two clearances, one successful interception, and blocked one shot.

Aaron Evans - 7.5

Evans looked good at the heart of NorthEast’s defence. But still, it was not enough for his side to earn a point. He made seven clearances, three successful interceptions, and one block.

Michael Jakobsen - 8.5

Similar to Evans, Jakobsen also played his part well. He was very good in defence where he made two successful tackles, five clearances, and one successful interception. He also blocked two shots.

Tondonba Singh - 6.5

Tondonba enjoyed a decent outing against Odisha FC. He had 58 touches in total and whipped in a cross. In defence, he made one successful tackle, two clearances, and two successful interceptions.

Romain Philippoteaux - 5.0

Today, Philippoteaux was poor in the midfield. He took one shot and put in two crosses. He had 30 touches in total and made 17 passes with only 68% accuracy. NorthEast needs more from him to win games.

Mohamed Irshad - 5.5

Irshad was not very bright. He was on the pitch for around 55 minutes. During this time, he had only 35 touches and made 15 passes. Defensively, he made one successful tackle, two clearances, and two successful interceptions.

Pragyan Gogoi - 5.0

Pragyan was not effective in aiding NorthEast’s attack to a good extent. He was effective in defence where he made one successful tackle, one clearance, and one successful interception.

Imran Khan - 6.0

Imran provided the assist for NorthEast’s goal. However, apart from that, he was not much effective in aiding the side’s attack. In total, he had 36 touches and made 21 passes. He also made one successful tackle.

Matt Derbyshire - 4.0

Derbyshire was on the pitch for around 55 minutes. Apart from creating one chance, he was not much effective. Moreover, he had only 18 touches in this period and made only four passes.

Parthib Gogoi - 4.0
